Sukkur: A young girl was shot dead in the name of honor in the limits of the New Pind micro police post.According to the police, the victim has been identified as Ansa Malik, who is said to be about 18 to 19 years old. According to initial reports, the girl was shot dead by her cousin Amanullah Malik allegedly on charges of corruption and fled the scene.The incident was reported to the police by the victim’s father Ali Sher Malik, after which the police immediately reached the spot and took the body into custody and shifted it to the Civil Hospital Sukkur for postmortem.Police say that the girl was targeted with a TT pistol while raids are being conducted to arrest the accused. The process of registering a case of the incident is underway and investigation has been started from various angles.
